StepbyStep Texture Quilting 65 New FreeMotion WalkingFoot Designs Christina Cameli 9781617457982 Books Reviews

  • I almost didn’t purchase this book as I have a number of FMQ books and Craftsy videos including one by this author. I thought what could be so different in this book.
I bought it anyway just to see...it is different...many new quilting designs and patterns in graph form. I love especially seeing the pictures of how they look sewn up.
So glad I purchased it and a very fair price too! Get it, you won’t retreat it!
  • Excellent photos of Christina's stitching - easy to see threads and the designs and nice variety of colorful fabric backgrounds. Good illustrations showing stitching paths. Well conceived and executed book full of useful information - I can't wait to try out some of these designs using my APQS sit down longarm (George) and I might even break out my Bernina's walking foot for some of the gridded motifs. Congratulations, Christina on a terrific book.
  • I pre-ordered this book because I love the way her previous books are written. I was not disappointed with this book either. Glad I added this book to my collection!
  • This book is very well thought out in design and color. There are tons of quilting designs that can be done on either a domestic machine or a longarm. Christina shows you how to get great texture on your quilt. The designs might look elaborate but when you break it all down step by step they are not hard to execute.
  • I was lucky enough to take a workshop with the author. Hands-on instruction is invaluable, but I am so glad to have this book to reference the designs and review the lessons. She makes it so easy to look like a pro with your free-motion designs. The diagrams, written instructions, and the beautiful, close-up photos of each design make it so easy to understand and execute the stitching. You will enjoy having this book in your quilting library.
